CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking the public for help to find a man arrested 18 times in Mecklenburg County.
Demarcus Mack is wanted for armed robbery.
He carjacked a woman in July in west Charlotte, police said.
His criminal history includes:
- Assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill
- Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
- Armed robbery
- Discharging a weapon into an occupied property

CMPD Chief Kerr Putney has been vocal about what he sees as the Mecklenburg County court system's overuse of the electronic monitoring system and letting repeat offenders back on the streets.

The department put out several notices in recent weeks about offenders like Mack, who have been arrested several times and are still on the loose.
