• CMPD: Missing teen with Asperger's found safe

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they have located a teen with Asperger’s syndrome who was missing Monday morning.
     
    Police were searching for Demetrius Walters, 15, who was reported last seen leaving his home on Tradewinds Lane to take a walk on the Greenway.

    Police said Walters has been located unharmed and has been reunited with his family
     
    He was wearing a black T-shirt and navy-colored gym shorts that had lime green on them. He is about 145 pounds and 5 feet 9 inches tall.
