CMS: No students injured in crash involving school bus in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — First responders were on the scene of a crash involving a car and a school bus Monday morning in north Charlotte, near the Northlake Mall.

Police were called around 7:30 a.m. to the wreck on Northlake Centre Parkway, near Mount Holly-Huntersville Road and Alexandriana Road.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials told Channel 9 the bus was heading to Long Creek Elementary School. There were 19 students on board but none of the students or the bus driver were hurt, according to officials.

MEDIC said two other people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. It was not immediately clear what led to the crash but police were still investigating.
