Committee to discuss I-77 noise walls Monday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte's transportation committee will meet Monday to discuss possible noise walls going up along Interstate 77.

The 10-foot-tall walls would block out noisy traffic between Interstate 85 and the Brookshire Freeway.

The planning committee is finalizing what the walls would look like but some neighbors are against the plan because they said it will ruin their view of the city.
