Community prays for 2 Union County teens’ safe return
A community in Union County is praying for the safe return of two missing teens.

UNION COUNTY, N.C. — A community in Union County is praying for the safe return of two missing teens.

Kayla Glenn, 15, was reported missing to authorities on Thursday, the sheriff’s office said.

There are social media posts pleading for Katie Fleig’s safe return. Time Fleig, Fleig’s father, reported her missing on Friday.

“We believe she was groomed by child traffickers,” said Tim Fleig. "We believe that more people are involved in this. "No parents should ever have to go through the not knowing. That’s the hardest part, is not knowing.”

There is no criminal activity or foul play suspected at this point in either case, the sheriff’s office said.
