CHARLOTTE — A COVID-19 cluster has been identified at UNC Charlotte, officials announced Monday afternoon.

The cluster involves five students residing on and off campus. The students are in isolation and receiving appropriate medical care.
University officials are notifying those who have been in close contact with the students so they can quarantine and receive necessary testing. A “cluster” is defined by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services as a minimum of five cases.
