IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — Iredell County firefighters responded to a large fire at a landfill Friday night.

Dispatchers said more than a dozen units responded around 9 p.m. to the fire producing a lot of smoke on Barfield Road in Mooresville.

Firefighters put out the fire early Saturday morning and stayed to monitor hot spots.

No one was injured.
