CATAWBA COUNTY, N.C. — A death investigation is underway following a shooting early Wednesday morning in Catawba County.
Deputies told Channel 9 they responded around 5:30 a.m. to reports of a shooting on Hall Dairy Road just north of Claremont.

It’s unclear who was killed or what led to the shooting.
