• Deputies investigate deadly Cabarrus Co. crash

    MIDLAND, N.C. - Emergency crews in Cabarrus County were investigating a deadly crash in Midland early Thursday morning.

    According to EMS, one person was killed in the wreck and two others were rushed to Carolinas Medical Center Northeast.

    Their conditions were not immediately known.

    Cabarrus County deputies told Channel 9 the crash happened around 8 a.m. on Highway 24/27 near Holt Kay Drive when a minivan collided with a small sedan

    No names have been released and officials have closed the road indefinitely while they investigate the wreck.
