LENOIR, N.C. — A man was found shot on Slope Terrace in Lenoir at 11:01 p.m. Sunday night. Ora David Newman, 53, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The case is currently under investigation by the Caldwell County Sheriff's Office with assistance from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations.
"This investigation is ongoing and we are still gathering evidence. Once we complete the investigation we will present it to the District Attorney's Office for their determination on charges," Sheriff Alan Jones said.
