CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Sheriff's deputies in Caldwell County are searching for a motorcycle rider who led them on a high-speed chase south of Lenoir.
That chase ended up in a wooded area after the rider ditched his motorcycle along a trail near Pinnacle Court.
Deputies said they tried to pull the biker over because he passed cars illegally and was speeding and sometimes going 100 mph.
Deputies are trying to determine if the motorcycle was stolen the VIN had been scratched off.
