Authorities have not said how Bianco was able to slip away, but this wasn’t the first time he has escaped from custody. In 2012, authorities said he overpowered a guard at the Chester Regional Medical Center while wearing a straight jacket and leg shackles.

According to officials, Bianco then took the guard’s gun and fired shots while running out of the hospital. He was later found hiding behind a house nearby and charged with attempted murder.

This is an ongoing investigation. Check back with wsoctv.com for updates.
