Deputies use DNA from string of SC burglaries to identify suspect

LANCASTER, S.C. — Deputies are asking for the public's help finding a man wanted in connection with a string of burglaries, including a Lancaster church.

Investigators connected Lucas Pate to several car break-ins, including a church van at Taylor's Grove Baptist Church.

Deputies said the Monroe native also broke into the church, causing $2,000 in damage.

Authorities used DNA from several pieces of evidence to connect Pate to the crimes.
