Doctor explains how COVID-19 could spread in children

CHARLOTTE — Doctors are now tracking a recent increase of positive cases of COVID-19 in children, and that has many parents and families concerned.

“What it means is community spread,” said Dr. Amina Ahmed, with Atrium Health.

In the video at the top of this webpage, reporter Elsa Gillis speaks with Ahmed at Levine’s Children hospital who said the virus has the potential to affect those younger than the age of 18.
