Doctors across country face hurdles while trying to meet demand for COVID vaccines

With case numbers on the rise, getting the COVID-19 vaccine where it is needed and administering doses is more crucial than ever.

The demand is so high, churches, vacant parking lots and even shopping malls are turning into vaccine clinics.

Doctors are concerned the process is turning into a logistical nightmare by forcing people to wait hours if not days to get the COVID-19 vaccine.

“A lot of counties are having a hard time just getting vaccines into arms,” ABC News Medical Contributor Dr. Ryan Ribeira said. “I think what we’re finding is spending too much time worrying about tiering it becomes a problem. If you don’t have enough demand and you’re Tier A, then you go to Tier B and then go to Tier C, and you’ve just got to get those vaccines into arms now.”
