Duke Energy likely to reduce its real estate footprint

Duke Energy Corp. will change its in-office work policies after the pandemic, reducing the number of people who need office space and likely affecting real estate needs throughout the company.

CEO Lynn Good calls it a hybrid model that will allow more people to work only part time — or not at all — in Duke properties.

“Of course, Charlotte is going to have some impact because of the number of employees here,” she says. “But we’re really looking across our entire footprint.”
