CHARLOTTE, N.C. — An Asheville Eagle Scout is hoping his short film can save lives in Charlotte.

Producer Adam Stewart, 18, said "One Decision" is an effort to keep teens from trying opioids.

Stewart said opioids first entered his family's life when his grandfather became addicted after having hip replacement surgery.

“He was a World War II veteran and really just kind of a stubborn guy, overall,” Stewart said. “So, I talked to him about it, and he said that was one of the hardest things he's ever done -- getting off opioids.”
