East Charlotte home destroyed by fire

CHARLOTTE — Investigators are working to find out what sparked a fire at an east Charlotte home Saturday night.

The entire side of the Hunt Lynn Road trailer home was destroyed just after midnight.

A neighbor told Eyewitness News she heard a loud noise, and when she looked out she saw the home engulfed in flames.

“Woke up about midnight, heard a loud boom, looked out -- trailer’s on fire. It was mostly the front porch,” said neighbor Tina Loggins.

The family was able to get out of the home. No injuries were reported.
