CHARLOTTE, N.C. — At about 10:30 p.m. Monday, there were about 7,592 Duke Energy customers without power in Mecklenburg County due to the winter storm.
In the video at the top of this web page, Eyewitness News anchor Blaine Tolison traveled across the county and spoke with families struggling without power.

Power restoration for all of Mecklenburg County will be no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to Duke Energy.
Blue Ridge Energy restored power to all of its customers by Monday night. The height of the outages was when 2,269 customers did not have power at noon Sunday.
