YORK COUNTY, S.C. — People from the Carolinas rushed to buy fireworks south of the North Carolina state line the day before Independence Day.

Cade McDonald works at Area 51 Fireworks and said he looks forward to this time every year.
“I love it, man,” McDonald told reporter Joe Bruno. “I love it, man. Everybody is living life. Everybody is loving America. It is a great day to be great. You know what I am saying?”
