Father charged months after 2-year-old found dead day after Halloween

CHESTER, S.C. — A months-long investigation has ended with a Chester County father being arrested and charged with the murder of his 2-year-old daughter, who died the day after Halloween.

Chester County Emergency Services responded to a call for an unresponsive child at a home on White Oak Street on the morning after Halloween.

Channel 9 was told the girl, Khloe Simone Adams, was not breathing and that her father, Darryl Wilson, and his girlfriend called 911. The child was taken to Chester Regional Medical Center where she was pronounced dead.

Initially, Wilson told investigators he and his girlfriend found Khloe unresponsive and could not wake her.

Wilson is charged with homicide by child abuse but investigators have not revealed any other details about the crime.
