MORGANTOWN, N.C. — Former Mayor Patrick Cannon who is in prison after being convicted of corruption and bribe charges has a release date of Jan. 25, 2018, according to the Federal Bureau of Prisons.
That is 38 months and one week in prison.
Cannon reported to FCI Morgantown in West Virginia on Tuesday.
Prior to reporting into prison, he was put on house arrest for voting illegally in the election. He had already been convicted of taking bribes as mayor and was sentenced to 44 months in prison.
