Fire crews put out flames at Harrisburg recycling plant

HARRISBURG, N.C. — Fire investigators in Harrisburg were working to figure out what caused a pile of scrap at an auto recycling plant to catch fire late Monday night.

The fire started at Foil's Auto Recycling on Highway 49 South just before 11 p.m.

Fire crews used an auto wreck claw to clear away some of the junk so firefighters could put out the remaining flames.

No injuries were reported.
