VALDESE, N.C. — A flea market on I-40 in Burke County was severely damaged by a fire Saturday afternoon, officials said.
Fire officials say the fire started in a trashcan, but they are unsure of what caused it.
Multiple fire departments responded to the flea market fire on Paradise Avenue in Valdese.
The fire damaged seven units at the flea market.
No injuries were reported.
