• Firefighters battle fire at home in Plaza Midwood

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Firefighters were called to a fire at a home in the Plaza Midwood area on Thursday morning.

    The fire broke out at a home in the 1400 block of Nassau Boulevard around 10:45 a.m. Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the home.

    Officials said firefighters got the incident under control in about 15 minutes. 

    The family living at the home was displaced, fire officials said.
