ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — Crews were battling a 5-alarm house fire Friday morning in Rowan County.

Flames broke out at the home on Daugherty Road in China Grove just after 4 a.m.
Nobody has been hurt and the Fire Marshal told Channel 9 21 departments were called to the scene due to the extremely high temperatures.
Investigators said the home belonged to a Bostian Heights firefighter who was on vacation with his family.

Officials have not determined how the fire started.
