• Firefighters rescue dog trapped in house fire


    CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. - Firefighters in Caldwell County rescued a dog trapped inside a burning home Friday evening. 

    Firefighters kicked in a door at the home to reach the dog that was under a bed.    

    Once they got the boxer, nicknamed Foreman, outside, firefighters gave him oxygen from all the smoke.     

    Firefighters are trying to determine what started the fire near the rear of the home.
