Two-hour delays on Wednesday: Avery County Schools
FORECAST:
- The stage is set for another cold night with temperatures dipping below freezing.
- Freeze warnings are also in effect again.
- A warmup kicks off Thursday and Friday.
- Showers are likely by late afternoon on St. Patrick’s Day with highs near 66 in Charlotte.
- Most of the rain will move out by Saturday morning.
- Much of the weekend and Monday will have clear skies with highs in the 50s.
- Rain chances return Tuesday and Wednesday.
