FORECAST: Conditions stay soggy before gradually clearing up Friday

  • Avery County Schools will operate on a two-hour on Friday.

FORECAST:

  • More rain is on the way Thursday night, mostly before 3 a.m.
  • The heaviest of the showers will be south of Charlotte.
  • It will be cloudy into Friday morning before the skies gradually clear up.
  • Highs on Friday will be 47.
  • Some clouds will linger through the weekend.
  • Highs on Saturday will be in the low-40s and on Sunday, in the low-50s.
  • Clear skies return next week.
