FORECAST:
- The stage is set for a chilly night with temps dropping into the upper-30s by Thursday morning.
- The next weather system will bring clouds into the region on Friday.
- That will lead to a few showers later for areas north of Charlotte.
- A cold front will move in by midday Saturday, which is expected to bring widespread showers and possible thunderstorms.
- Clear skies return Saturday night.
- Temperatures will stay reasonably mild.
