Fort Mill residents enjoy Fourth of July weekend celebrations after being canceled last year

FORT MILL, S.C. — Fort Mill’s Independence weekend has been going on for many years but this is only the second time there will be fireworks.

The event comes at a time when the event was forced to take a one year break because of the pandemic.

”Just getting out is great. You feel so cooped up for all of last year and going into this year, it’s wonderful again,” said Tom Pierce.

>> Channel 9′s Glenn Counts was there for the celebrations where tons of people filled the streets.
