CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Post Foundation is honoring a recent Charlotte graduate as the top senior in the class of 2019.
The honor is given each year to a student who is well-rounded and excelling in both the classroom and the community. This year's honoree is Kelsey McDowell.

McDowell is focused and embodies the mission of the Charlotte Post Foundation: giving minorities a voice.
"From a very young age, my parents instilled in me the importance of education and leadership," she said.
