Fraternal Order of Police: Some senior CMPD officers waiting on potential pay bump

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — For years, Fraternal Order of Police representatives say Charlotte-Mecklenburg police officers have had concerns about their pay.

"They deserve this money,” said Chris Kopp, a spokesman for the FOP.

The FOP is taking the department to task over a pay raise that some senior officers should be able apply for.

"There is zero reason why the delay is taking this long. These positions were approved back in 2018,” Kopp said.
