Gaston police search for male shooter wearing wig, makeup

GASTON COUNTY, N.C. — A man, who “portrayed himself as a female”, is accused of shooting someone in the neck Saturday at a home on Forbes Road outside of Gastonia, Gaston County police said.

Authorities are searching for the shooter, who wore makeup and a long, curly black wig with highlights. He stood between 5 feet, 8 inches and 6 feet tall, police said.

The man was driving a white SUV, possibly an older model of the Chevy Tahoe.
