Gastonia restaurant destroyed by fire to reopen

GASTONIA, N.C. — A Gastonia restaurant that was destroyed by a fire two months ago will reopen in its old spot this summer.

The Longhorn Steakhouse on Cox Road caught fire in October forcing most of the 60 employees out of work.

The building is leased.

Now, owners said they are working with the landlord to extend the lease.

They hope to have a new building finished by July.
