Gov. McCrory announces nearly 100 new jobs in Shelby

SHELBY, N.C. — Gov. Pat McCrory announced Wednesday afternoon that a manufacturing company will bring almost 100 jobs to a Shelby plant.

Nebraska-based company Metal Works Manufacturing is relocating to Shelby. The company plans to add 86 new jobs by 2019.

McCrory said manufacturing is 21 percent of North Carolina's gross product.
