‘Have faith’: Charlotte woman celebrates 100th birthday, passes on advice to younger generations

MATTHEWS, N.C. — LeAnn White of Charlotte has reached another milestone by celebrating her 100th birthday.

White spent the day with family and friends at the Golden Corral in Matthews on Saturday.

She told Channel 9 she was surprised and also shared some advice for younger generations.

“You should honor God, have faith, and do the right thing,” White said. “Well, I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, and I’m trying to do the best I can to live with the Lord, and he is taking care of me.”

White was treated like royalty during her special day, complete with a birthday tiara and sash. Guests at the party also played a trivia game to figure out who knew her the best.
