Health department trains school nurses to perform testing, contact tracing

One of the major things Gov. Roy Cooper said North Carolina needs to reopen is manpower in public health, including people who can trace and track new cases.

“This is a way of giving back to the community when the kids are not in the school setting,” said Wendy Nielson, UCPS nurse supervisor.
