Hearing on Monroe bypass open to public Monday

MONROE, N.C. — On Monday, people can learn more about the proposed Monroe bypass that would connect Mecklenburg and Union counties.

The bypass would run from Matthews to Marshville and would cost hundreds of millions of dollars.

The first public hearing about the project is Monday at South Piedmont Community College in Monroe.

The formal presentation begins at 7.
