Hornets to sell limited branded license plates

The Charlotte Hornets are offering fans a unique opportunity to show their team spirit. The team will give 300 lucky fans the opportunity to purchase a Hornets-branded license plate.

Starting on Tuesday, June 24, fans can visit the team’s website to retrieve the license plate order form. According to a release from the Hornets, all applicants will need the following in order to be eligible for the exclusive plate:

- Payment of $10 for a regular Hornets plate or $40 for a personalized Hornets plate
- Completed order form from Hornets.com
- Current title, registration and vehicle insurance information in the state of North Carolina
- Vehicle identification  number, driver license number and current license plate number

The first 300 license plates are available through August 1. After this date, special edition license plates will become available to the general public.
