Hornets stay busy off the court serving community

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte Hornets never compete without a game plan. This week, the team is battling for a spot in the NBA Playoffs.

Off the court, the organization has a game plan as well. This one is to help serve the Charlotte community in three key areas – economic mobility, racial equity and voting.

“If you’re a professional sports franchise in this city, you have a duty and an obligation to give back, so we put together a strategy where we put community first,” said Hornets president and vice chairman Fred Whitfield.
