CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte Hornets star Kemba Walker rolled up in a big Coca-Cola truck to the Charlotte Rescue Mission to help deliver 500 baskets of food and turkeys to families in need.
Several members of the City Council and other local leaders were also on hand to help unload all the food.
The Hornets’ all-time leading scorer said it’s important for him to be involved in the community.
“The community supports me. They've supported me through my years here, and I only feel like it's only right for me to do the same,” Walker said. “I just love it. I love to give back.”
