HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. — A Huntersville road was shut down Thursday night while crews work on fixing a cut gas line, firefighters said.

All southbound lanes on Old Statesville Road south of Hambright Road are blocked until further notice.
Authorities said the gas line was cut due to construction in the area.
The Huntersville Fire Department said Piedmont Natural Gas digging crews would arrive and fix the leak.
No other information has been released.
