• Pedestrian hit on I-85 in fair condition Tuesday night

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Tuesday night Eyewitness News learned the pedestrian hit Monday night on I-85 is in fair condition at CMC hospital.

    Troopers spent several hours looking for the victim, Keith McCarthy, when he ran off after a car hit him.

    Troopers said McCarthy apparently walked to a nearby house and called for help.

    When troopers asked him why he ran, he said he was scared.
