‘I’m so thankful’: Single mother moves into new home after delays due to pandemic

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A single mother of two now has a new home for her family, and it’s all thanks to Habitat for Humanity and some local high school students.

“Thank you. This is the best thing that happened to me,” Jakilah Smith said.
