Introducing the 2020 honorees in CBJ’s Women in Business Achievement Awards program

CHARLOTTE — For more than two decades now, the Charlotte Business Journal has highlighted leading ladies in the local community through the Women in Business Achievement Awards program. The time has come to reveal the 2020 honorees.

The women recognized in this program are in a variety of professions — from banking to brewing craft beer and from media to motorsports. But each has made significant contributions to her company, industry and community over the past year.

Look for an announcement in the coming days of the 2020 Lifetime Achievement Award winner. She will join past winners such as Sharon Decker (2019), whose background includes stints as an executive for Duke Energy Corp. as well as secretary of the N.C. Department of Commerce; Susan DeVore (2018) of Premier Inc.; and Cathy Bessant (2017) of Bank of America Corp.

CBJ will recognize the entire 2020 class with an awards event Feb. 24 as well as special features in print and online. Once again, that banquet will be held in tandem with Bizwomen’s Mentoring Monday, a speed-coaching and networking event hosted by CBJ and affiliated publications across the nation.
