Investigation continues after 17-year-old shot, killed in Gaston Co.

GASTONIA, N.C. — Gastonia police are still investigating the shooting death of a 17-year-old Hunter Huss High School student.

Some neighbors who live along West Garrison Boulevard told Eyewitness News they ran out of their home after hearing a loud screeching noise around 6 p.m. last night

They noticed a car had slammed into an SUV.

Neighbors called 911; when Gastonia police arrived they found Brandon McCall dead inside the vehicle. He had been shot.

Neighbors say they just saw McCall yesterday.

"I got home from work yesterday at lunch time he was sitting on the porch, typical 'Hey, how you doing." I wouldn't expect not to ever see him again," says Jason Shelton.

So far police have not released any information about a suspect.
