CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Presidents Cup will be played at Quail Hollow Club next year for the first time, and the local real estate executive most responsible for landing the international match-play competition is already predicting an encore presentation.
Johnny Harris, a prominent developer and president of Quail Hollow, told CBJ this week Charlotte is set to break all previous records for Presidents Cup hospitality, ticket and merchandise sales next year. The biennial competition will be played here Sept. 19-25.
With that in mind, he said it is likely Charlotte will host another Presidents Cup sometime in the future if it meets those projections.
