LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. - An attempted murder suspect who broke out of custody Friday posted to Facebook shortly after the incident, Eyewitness News confirmed with law enforcement.

Lancaster detectives said that a Facebook page Channel 9 found is believed to belong to Deqwon Blackmon.

Two posts were made after the escape. One is an expletive. The other said, "Just had to kiss my kids before I go so. Keep calm."

According to deputies, Blackmon escaped when a transporting deputy brought him into the Lancaster County Detention Center Friday afternoon. He fled into the woods, and personnel with the Sheriff's Office, K-9 tracking team, police department, State Law Enforcement Division and police helicopter were called to the area to aid in the manhunt.

Blackmon is still on the loose Friday night. He was unarmed at the time of his escape but should be considered dangerous.

He's charged with attempted murder following a shooting that happened on the Highway 9 Bypass on Aug. 23. Authorities said three people were shot, one critically, while driving in a car that left the scene of a disturbance at a Waffle House restaurant earlier in the evening.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information regarding Blackmon's whereabouts to call the Sheriff's Office at 803-283-3388 or contact Crimestoppers at 1-888-274-6372 or email or text an anonymous tip to www.midlandscrimestoppers.com.
