Lanes of I85N reopened after trash truck overturns

MCADENVILLE, N.C. — A trash truck being towed on Interstate 85 overturned Monday afternoon, according to officials.

The North Carolina Highway Patrol said it happened between mile marker 23 and 24 northbound near McAdenville. Two right lanes were shut down for a couple hours until crews were able to remove the trash truck.

Troopers said the trash truck was being towed at the time and somehow got loose from the tow truck.
